Well, the repos (not CentOS stream!) GOT PAYWALLED [www.youtube.com] git.centos.org and whilst I'd not trust either since and , the fact is that canceled or rather axed it prematurely...

And they decided [www.youtube.com] to kill , because they don't understand that to make people and orgs buy subscriptions, they've to provide value with those subscriptions, and many people decided that their offer isn't what they are able and/or willing to take.

Cuz for it was very convenient to target and test against it since it's basically identical to - minus the commercial support - which also drove adoption of 's distro.

  • Similar to how in many cases allowed most of the devs targeting & to get away not having to buy many machines and how the only.difference between & are , repos and getting 10years of paid per annum instead of 5 years free security updates.
