@robin @aral consider getting a in the .

  • Addendum: N26 is shit ?; WISE should be better.

If you were in in person you could applybfor a basic account tho.

Public

@aral @robin Okay, I didn't knew that!

Public

@esplovago @aral @robin not shure if my is part if it, but |s are legally mandated to represent their members' interests and run their businesses in a sustainable fashion.

Public

@kkarhan @aral @robin yep, cooperative banks follow their members' interests. Banks that do banking on values are pushing the boundary, by being transparent and supporting positive economic, social and environmental change (for all people, not necessarily their own members). Most coops for sure are already banking on values.

@nico198X @aral @robin Problem with et. al. is that there ain't real & global competitiors.

And not only is it impractical for people to travel in person to i.e. Germany just to wait weeks (!!!) on an appointment and get a bank accout opened in person but even then the Bsic Account [www.bafin.de] as per @BaFin regulations only applies to consumers in Germany and not SMEs from overseas and even then those business accounts are usually way more expensive than partnering with an expensive payment processor to outsorce headaches.

  • Ask me how I know...

Needless to say the got their power to basically monopolize global payments...

BaFinBasic payment accountIn principle, all consumers legally residing in the European Union are entitled to hold a basic payment account under the German Payment Accounts Act (Zahlungskontengesetz – ZKG). This includes persons without a permanent place of residence and asylum seekers. Persons without a residence permit who cannot be deported due to legal or factual reasons (persons with a suspension of deportation) are also entitled to hold such an account.
