Have you checked out the long term effects of heavy ketamine use? The film Party Monster is a good dramatization of those effects. About like Substance D in PKD’s A Scanner Darkly
@MishaVanMollusq @kkarhan to be fair, Ivy was already infected with a hallucinogenic parasitic mushroom, and was pretty sure she was going to die after a horrific battle. It seemed like eating the Floronic Man (a plant-man hybrid with a healing factor who just happened to also be a billionaire bio weapons dealer and her ex) was the only way to survive the parasitic fungus.
But yes, point taken.
